How do I find the church?

Our address is 2 Greenfarm Road, Newton Mearns, G77 6FA.

By local public transport, the 38 bus goes past our door, and the M7 bus passes close by.  The nearest train station is Patterton but be warned it’s uphill to get to

We have a large car park with plenty of parking for blue badge holders, plus you can park at St Cadocs Primary and walk along.

How long do Sunday services last?

Both our services last approximately one hour. At the end of our service we have refreshments for anyone who wishes to stay. This would be a great opportunity for you to get to know us better and we’d love to have you join us.

Is there disabled access to the Church?

People with disabilities are very welcome. We have easy access through the main door of the church as well as an accessible toilet.

What time do I need to arrive?

To allow yourself time to find your way and get settled we would recommend you arrive around 10 minutes before the service starts.

What happens when I arrive?

When you arrive you will be welcomed by one of our members. The layout of the church makes it easy to get around and there are always plenty of people who will be happy to help you find your way. Don’t be afraid to ask; it’s a great way to meet people. There are no reserved seats so feel free to sit wherever you feel most comfortable.

Do I need to bring any money?

We do not take an offering during services, but instead have a offering box in our foyer.  If you wish to know more about giving to NMBC, you can contact the office.

What should I wear?

When you come and spend some time with us at Newton Mearns Baptist we want you to feel comfortable and at ease.

You will see adults and children wearing everything from jeans and t-shirts to suits and ties so please don’t feel you need to “dress up”, just come as you are.

Will there be something for my children?

We have large & lively groups for children age 3 to S4 during our 10am service.

When the children leave the service, they go to the following groups. Stewards will be able to guide you to the correct room.

Age 3 to Primary One – Room 2
Primary Two/Three/Four – Games Hall
Primary Five & Six – Room 3
Primary Seven – Lounge
S1 & S2 – Room 4
S3 & S4 – Oasis

Créche facilities are available for babies and toddlers.

What if I want to find out more?

If you have any other questions that are not answered here please get in touch and we will be happy to help.

Please do let one of the stewards or the welcome team know if you are visiting for the first time!
