Prayer's an important part of our individual, and corporate, lives as followers of Jesus Christ.  One of the ways we incorporate prayer into the regular activity of NMBC is the Prayer Team ministry.  Available after each Sunday service, the work of the Prayer Team is coordinated by Jennifer Weir.  A mother, Jennifer is married to George, and is a teacher in a local primary school.

Perhaps the most commonly seen face around NMBC on Greenfarm Road is our caretaker Richard Kerr.  Richard, as well as being our caretaker, is alongwith his wife Catriona, heavily involved with AIDS Africa, a Christian relief charity with strong links to NMBC.  Much more about AIDS Africa, and its work, can be found on its website.  Richard, as noted, can usually be found at NMBC, but he's also contactable by  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We have a real focus on mission here at NMBC - local, national and international - and much of this is coordinated by the NMBC Missions Forum.  Chair of the Forum is Glen Cartwright.  Glen, married to Adrienne and with a young son, Lewis, is also General Secretary of the Scottish Baptist Lay Preachers Association.  The Forum meets regularly and keeps us up to date with what's going on with people from NMBC working with missions abroad, and with the latest news from missions partners.  It also looks to inspire our thinking, and action, in all areas of mission, starting in our community and extending out.  Glen can be contacted by This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Contact names and information for other people can be found on the pages explaining the NMBC activities with which they’re involved.
