Giving to NMBC

How can I give to the work of NMBC?

People contribute to the life and work of our church in many different ways using their time, energies, abilities, and their finances.  The information below explains the various ways you can give financially.

Give regularly

There are three ways to do this:

  • By setting up a standing order with your bank.  You can download a Standing Order giving form to give to your bank, or alternatively use our details to do this yourself via your online/telephone banking service: our sort code's: 80-11-80, and our account number's: 00537651.
  • A regular collection is taken at each Sunday morning service, and there's an offering box also, that sits in the foyer.
  • Through your employer's payroll giving scheme if available – your Human Resources department can likely provide details on this.

Other ways to give

  • If you would like to send us a cheque, please make it payable to "Newton Mearns Baptist Church".
  • You may also like to consider making a donation to NMBC in your will.  Please ask your solicitor when you make or change your will, or ask the Treasurer for more information.

Tax Payers: boost your giving by 25% through Gift Aid

  • If you are a UK tax payer, we can reclaim the basic rate tax from the Government on your behalf using the Gift Aid scheme.  This means your giving to NMBC can be boosted by 25p for every Pound given at no extra expense to you.  All that is required is for you to sign a Gift Aid Declaration form, available online.
  • If you wish to give using the Sunday collection or offering box, please make use of Gift Aid envelopes, available from the Treasurer to ensure we can reclaim the tax on your gift.
  • If you pay higher rate tax, you may recover this through your own tax return.
